September 21, 2009- (ATLANTA) - Having employees buy into the culture is the key ingredient to the success of any organization said Arthur Blank, owner of the Atlanta Falcons and co-founder of The Home Depot. Blank appeared at Robinson's Center for Global Business Leadership this morning. He was interviewed by Center Director Jim Senn and answered questions from students and guests at Robinson's Executive Education Center in Buckhead.

Blank said that the culture of The Home Depot was primarily responsible for its rise to the ranks of America's elite corporations. He said he applies the same philosophy to the Falcons.

He also noted that running a football team and running a business like The Home Depot had many similarities, however the emotions are much higher in football. "Football is more of a roller-coaster ride," he said.

The Falcons owner also talked about his philanthropic efforts through the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation and discussed a variety of leadership issues during the hour-long session.
